Seeking sponsorship for a special presentation for broadcast legend NORMAN CORWIN

Hello again to those who read this blog regularly or semi-regularly:

The not-for-profit arts organization I work with, the National Audio Theatre Festivals, Inc., is planning a 100th birthday party and award ceremony for our advisory Board Member Norman Corwin in Los Angeles next spring.

Corwin is one of the last surviving directors and writers from the golden age of radio ("We Hold These Truths;" "On a Note of Triumph") and undoubtedly one of the greatest names in the history of broadcasting, alongside such names as Orson Welles and Edward R. Murrow.

The plan is to present an event that would feature a screening of the recent Academy Award winning documentary on Corwin (for testimonials), combined with live tributes and a performance of his updated radio drama "Between Americans," culminating with the presentation of a lifetime achievement award. We are also hoping to have some celebrity names joining us.

Due to recent cutbacks by our normal funding sources, are looking for sponsorship for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

As the National Audio Theatre Festivals is a not-for-profit (501c3) organization, the sponsorships would be in the form of a donation, but a donation that would be earmarked for Norman's ceremony. Important note, ladies and gentlemen: we are seeking serious enquiries only, especially from those of you in the Los Angeles/Southern California region.

Please contact either me (NATF Board Member Lance Roger Axt) directly at playitbyearproductions @ yahoo.com or our Exec. Director Sonia James directly at ed @ natf.org.
