I saw your comment on Linking Job Seekers, and thought I'd at least make contact. I'm an unemployed fellow Hoosier, living in Texas. I just checked your website and signed up.
I’m a project manager and mechanical engineer with more than a couple of decades of experience in computer and related industries, but also in a variety of other industries, including plumbing products, automotive and aerospace.
I have managed both product development engineering and sustaining engineering groups (including direct and contract personnel), and have managed engineering change control systems and transit packaging (shipping) design. I am CM II certified by the Institute of Configuration Management and PMP certified by the Project Management Institute.
I served on the Board of Directors of my local section of the Society of Plastics Engineers for two decades. I have worked in technical procurement, led design and project teams, done manufacturing engineering, led supplier qualification teams, and managed design liaison with major customers and suppliers, including Pacific rim. I am accustomed to having budget responsibility, including capital and personnel planning.
It feels odd contacting a career coach so far away, even if you are "back home", when there are quite a few local to me, but I'm curious as to what you do that works for you over distance.
I've downloaded your Career Contingency Checklist and will study it later.
