Hello !
Yes, related to virtual recording studios from earlier days with Res Rocket Surfers & Rocket Networks.
Rocket is sorely missed. It was an effective (even on dial up) way to record live in your own virtual studio with musicians from around the world & save the raw tracks. Brilliant compression algorithms by Canton Becker ,bought by Avid.
Esession & other similar apps now ...not too thrilled.
So, working on ideas around this (when time) & an alternative music management agency/uber musician services aggregator network.
Really interested in new models for sustainable careers in music and the arts in face of Music 2.0/the long tail of art. There has been a fascinating discussion on the Thousand True Fans concept on Kevin Kelly's (Technium) blog and generally why this doesn't work as theoretically presented.
I also am active with Best Buy & its transparent use of Twitter/Spy etc...
Hope this gives you some idea about my internet tech "hat". I'm really new to MLPF & don't use Linked In too much...love Twitter.
Best of the day to you in Bangalore from the wilds of the SoCal desert.
Liz
