About Me:: Hello! My name is Melanie Schleif. I have been in the sourcing/recruiting world for 8 years. I began in the days when all I had was a phone and some business cards collected at career fairs or conventions and licensure lists. Today, you will find me surfing the web, in chat rooms, user groups, social networks, and searching blogs finding the information I need to network and find top talent...and, yes, the phone is still very much a part of what I do.

I've just completed a virtual recruiting/souring contract with Wachovia Corporation and am looking for my next gig. I have experience contracting as a virtual recruiter/sourcer with Microsoft and Hyperion/Oracle, primarily focusing on development, sales, account management, marketing/emarketing, and project management roles. I also have experience as a corporate recruiter/sourcer, assigned to the IT, finance, marketing, sales and clinical departments. I've also done some contingency recruiting/souring/name generation projects between my hourly contracting gigs.

I am AIRS trained and have a BS degree. (BTW...I'm learning from Shally, Glenn, Jim, and others any chance I get.) I have been certified in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. I passed the PHR in 2001. I can provide excellent references if you're interested in knowing more about me.
