My hobbies include Camping, Hiking, and Backpacking with my Boy Scout Troop. I'm the Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 65 in Long Branch, NJ.
In July of 2007 we completed a 50 mile Backpacking trip which took us from Pennsylvania through Maryland to Harpers Ferry, WV. We enjoyed the challenge so much we're planning a 100 miler on "The Long Trail" in Vermont this August'08.
I'm also interested in learning about internet marketing, affiliate marketing and social networking. I'm currently reading and soaking up everything I can find on these subjects. Affiliate Marketing Secrets
I'm an amateur web designer and digital photographer.
I'm very interested in Health and Fitness ideas and issues, steering more toward the natural remedies rather then conventional medicine. I recently lost 45 pounds in 12 weeks and my 12 year battle with diabetes has pretty much dissipated. I love strength training with free weights.

As to where to begin in blogging: the main thing is to just get started - you know - just the way Nike says it - "Just do it!" :-)
The best way to just do it is to start small and with something that excites/interests YOU!
By the way: Why not ask questions about blogging in the Linking Bloggers group? Ask others how they started, kept going, benefited, etc. The groups still small but, is likely to grow pretty strongly in the next several weeks.
