My online friendships are very real to me. Sure, when people who are dear to you live so far away (sometimes separated by half the Earth from you), you can't shake their hands or look them in the eye and tell them how much they mean to you. Sometimes it hurts. When it does, I just send my friend a short message containing a few tender words.

One day, I believe, I'll make a long trip around the world, and visit every city where a friend lives, and tell all those wonderful people directly how much they really mean to me.
