If you've ever found yourself needing to remove a large number of people you're following on Twitter, until recently the only way you could do so was to visit each profile one at a time.
While Twitter hasn't yet made it possible to remove 20 or 100 in just one click, it has made it a bit easier *FOR SOME OF US*
For instance, for me personally, it doesn't do me much good to follow people in the following categories:
1. Rarely or never updates
2. Disproportionately low or zero Following *OR* Followers. (Exception for dedicated business Twitterers such as Job Boards, Public Service Announcements, etc.)
So, to clean up people you no longer want to follow, at this time:
1. Go to:
http://twitter.com/friends?page=1
2. For those people who are following you, you'll see the following options:
Direct message | nudge
VincentWright | remove
3. For those people who are NOT following you, won't see either "Direct message" nor "nudge". You'll only see "remove"
Just a little bit to think on: While this is good for removing 1, 5, 10, 20 people per page, you want to make sure that there isn't something of value you'd be missing by removing them.
Thanks!
