Wright Hand Outsourcing

Wright Hand Outsourcing is a discussion group with a rich source of outsourcing related materials for outsourcing professionals and those who may need to outsource a function or service in their company.

Why outsource software development?

  • Cut overhead costs
  • Maintain a tighter focus
  • Gain access to valuable resources that you do not possess internally
  • Offset the risk involved in hiring people to perform certain tasks
  • Jumpstart projects
  • Accountability
  • Flexible cost structures
Advantages of outsourcing offshore:
  • Time-to-Market: Offshore outsourcing capitalizes on time zone differences by deploying 2nd and 3rd shifts in an efficient manner, resulting in the faster deployment of new software applications and technology.
  • Cost Reduction: Scalability of resources across the software development life-cycle and gaining access to the ability to shift lower value work to less expensive offshore resources.

Let's have an old fashioned "barn-raising" to rebuild Vincent!

I have an idea on how to raise money quickly for Vincent. It requires 40 golfers who will work together to raise support for themselves to play in a golf marathon. I already have it all set up and we can do this together. We actually could pull this off in a very short time.

When I first told Vincent about the concept he was ecstatic. This was at the end of April. I knew that financially he was struggling at that time but he made it through the end of the month and into May.

We all love Vincent for who he is and how much his encouragement has touched our lives. The outpouring of concern today following his letter is a huge example of how much everyone here cares about Vincent.

On Monday night when I talked to Vincent, I suggested launching the golf tournament to raise funds. I asked Vincent how he felt $75,000 more or less would affect what he was doing in building his network. He said it would certainly help.

I know someone this last week responded to the flurry of Linkedin problems with a question to Vincent about him starting his own network. Vincent replied that if he had a couple of million $$$ he might just do that.

On Monday, I told Vincent that I felt it was perfect timing to let all of us who had been supported through the years by him and his ENCOURAGEMENT now support him and everyone could be part of that support in having the fundraising golf tournament to secure funds for him and his plan to build the network.

He asked that I send him something in writing so that he could read it. He also said that he had an excruciating headache and was going on to bed. We were to talk again on Tuesday night. That never happened. The phone calls and emails that I sent have gone unanswered.

I understand now why they were unanswered. In order to have this golf tournament it would have meant that he was saying he needed help and that was very hard for him to admit.

Will you help with this fundraising? Let's call it an old fashioned "BARN-RAISING" so that we can rebuild Vincent! This was done in all the olden days when a family lost their home to a fire. Vincent has lost not only his home to this fire; he has lost much more than that. Vincent lost his self-respect, his zest for life, his family ties that he cherished so dearly and most of all his feeling that he could create a livelihood for himself. We can join together to rebuild not only his home (a place to live) but also to rebuild the valuable respect he needs by knowing that without his asking for help … we wanted to help him.

Please contact me ASAP if you will be part of this project.

Thank you, Margaret, Jason, and all of the rest of you who today intervened in this crisis.

With much love and concern for my friend,
