Linkedin Has Made Improvements But, Linkedin Still Needs A Lot Of Improvements

It's good to see some of the technical changes which Linkedin has made over the last year or so. However, there are at least two areas which Linkedin still needs to work on to help its serious members more effectively manage their relationships via the Linkedin platform:

1. Endorsements/Recommendation still needs a LOT of improvements. As one of the most recognizable and, indeed, most valuable components of the Linkedin concepts, one would expect the Endorsements/Recommendations component to be completely smooth. But, that is not the case. The menu of options should include more choices than "Write Recommendation" and "Archive".

2. Removals. - If Linkedin wants its members to help maintain the site, one would think that the Removal option should be associated with and/or embedded in the profiles of those with whom we are connected. Believe it or not, I think Twitter and Facebook handle removals better than Linkedin. For example on Twitter, I can block a follower from their profile and be done with the matter. Likewise with Facebook. However, on Linkedin, if we see an anomaly which makes us rethink our professional relationship with someone whom we've chosen to connect with, we have to go to the Contacts tab, select the Remove button, and then search all our contacts to find the person whom we want to remove from our contacts. From a practical standpoint, this can be difficult on days when you have more things to do than to search a database. Especially is this the case when someone has an unusual construction of names where, for example, they use 2 of their 3 names and you can't find them until you check each of 3 alphabetically categorized sets of names.
