I completed the 100-Holes of golf to raise funds for Keynote Ministries. They are part of Campus Crusades for Christ. I raised almost $2,000 and the entire group raised over $69,000 in one day! I lived through it ... and plan to do it again.

Mother’s Day Challenge!
Let’s make Mother’s Day a present for all of us to share!

Today I received an email from a fellow Linkedin member! The Subject line grabbed my attention:

“Let’s Make Someone A MOM!”

I read the following and went to the link to read the articles both on the Campaign and also the Problem section of the site. PLEASE DO THE SAME. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

“My husband Jeff & I have been married for 17 years. The first few
years of our marriage we went through the battery of many fertility
tests, then we went through the grieving process of not being able
to have a biological child. And now we’ve had the calling to adopt.

We are in the process of adopting 2 children from Poland. Please
read my story and consider helping me adopt two children from Poland.

https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption “

The reason Debbie & Jeff chose children from Poland is for Jeff’s heritage. He is 3rd generation here in the United States. They saw the need (read Debbie’s article on orphans) for helping children in Poland to have love and family.

Debbie & Jeff have pooled every penny they could get their hands on and have already spent over $9,000. They have been approved by both the US and Poland and are now waiting for a “match” of their 2 new children. They have asked for children between the ages of 5 and 11 to come to them.

When I asked Debbie the reason for this, she told me that they are both in their 40’s and feel this age would work great for them. Also, this gives the children that most people overlook because they are “too old” an opportunity they would probably never have! An opportunity to have a family of their own and one that would bring them love!

I had a great idea … and wanted to pass this on to each of you that might be a Mom, have a Mom, or wish you could someday be a Mom!

Remember … none of us came into this world without having a Mom! However, many people are not able to be Moms. Debbie is one of them.

I just got off the phone with Debbie Rzentkowski (the Mom-to-be) and Scott Johnson, my Linkedin connection who thought enough about his wife’s friend to send out this request for help.

Not only did I hear her heart through the phone … I also learned that Jeff, the Dad-to-be, is on permanent disability after several failed major back surgeries. He is ambulatory but cannot hold a job that requires him to either stand or sit for long periods.

Being a “stay-at-home” Dad will avail him the fulfillment of being needed and yet will allow him the physical freedom to move from one position to another without pain. I also learned that they had been foster parents for special needs boys in the past.

YOU GOTTA SEE THE CARING HEART HERE!

Please note when you go to the Campaign Site, The Point, (which was referred to them by a Linkedin answer to Scott Johnson’s request for help) https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption, it will say their goal is $20,000. The reason for $20,000 is that “The Point” (web site campaign) has $20,000 as the “tipping point!” No donation will be charged and distributed until the “tipping point” of $20,000 is reached.

$20,000 was set as the “tipping point” because it would allow Debbie & Jeff to finalize their plans, have the agency complete the match for their children and set their plans in action to go to Poland for their first trip. It would also cover ½ of the legal fees required and cover the travel and living expenses for the first 3 week trip to meet and get to know their new children.

However, $20,000 would not complete the adoption and if their match was made and the children were waiting to be adopted … they don’t have any “lag” time. It must be done! Debbie’s words to me were “once the children are matched with us, we must be ready to complete this … NO MATTER WHAT!”

Their actual financial requirement is $30,000. When I was talking with Debbie, she told me that they were planning to have some local fund raising events - community garage sale, fund raising dinner in their community, and anything else they could think of to bring in money. She will continue with this process to raise local funds.

When the $20,000 “tipping point” is reached and the monies charged and distributed to Debbie & Jeff, there will be a new Campaign for the additional $10,000 to reach their actual need of $30,000. This will be done on the same day, so there will not be a problem with the transition from the existing Campaign. You can go to the site and see how much money has been contributed at any given moment and please post your comments when you go!

So, here’s my idea!

Let’s make Mother’s Day a present for all of us to share!

Let’s add $20 (OR MORE) to whatever activity our families do right now! Take the $20 and put it in the fund on https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption.

If you have children that play sports, please put $20 into this fund in your child’s name. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption. BETTER YET … ask the parents of your children’s TEAM to also put $20 in this fund in THEIR CHILD’S NAME.

If you have grandchildren that play sports, please put $20 into this fund in your grandchildren’s names. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

If you play a sport yourself, perhaps golf as I do, let’s put a little extra money out for tomorrow’s game. Put $20 into this fund. Your golf cart cost more than this! https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

If you play tennis yourself, please put $20 into this fund. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

If you play a team sport - basketball, baseball, softball, soccer or hockey yourself, please put $20 into this fund. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption . Better yet … GET YOUR TEAM MEMBERS TO EACH PUT $20 into this fund.

What if you are saying right now … we don’t play any sports! NO PROBLEM!

If you are a gourmet coffee drinker who might purchase $20 of “latte coffee drinks” in one week … please match your $20 into this fund at https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

How about this … if you take your family out to dinner over the weekend … put $20 into this fund. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

If your Mom is no longer living and she would be really proud of you for helping here, put $20 into this fund in your Mom’s memory. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/adoption

They HAVE TO HAVE $30,000 IN ADDITIONAL FUNDS in order to go to Poland and get their 2 children. They cannot proceed with this process until they have raised the money. You will see in the article on the site, they are required to make 2 different trips to Poland. One will be for 3 weeks (where they will have the care and expense of the 2 children for 2 weeks in order to begin their new family bonding process) and the second (when they actually get their children) will be for 10 days.

If you could afford this, picture what this might cost you if you were going on 4 ½ week trip to Europe with a family of 4 … and then add in the legal fees required in the adoption. When you look at this amount of money, in this perspective, it doesn’t sound unreasonable. It almost makes you wonder how it could be done for such a small amount.

I believe that together we can move mountains.

WE HAVE ALL BEEN TAUGHT … that in order to EAT AN ELEPHANT … you do it 1 bite at a time!

I’m asking that each of you take a bite with me … and share it with everyone you know!

$30,000 divided by $20 is 1,500 people. Therefore, I am asking each of you to join me to create a viral campaign to help Debbie & Jeff bring 2 new lives into the world … THEIR WORLD!

If you have any questions, please give me a call. We have 1 week to pull this off for Mother’s Day!

I’m game … how about you???

We can do this together by simply participating and then forwarding this email to others on your list!

After you have pledged your $20 or whatever you deem appropriate for your family, please add your name, your city and in whose name you are participating (my daughter, my son, my Mom, etc.), at the bottom of this letter below mine and forward on to your list.

THIS IS NOT A CAMPAIGN BY ANY COMPANY TO GATHER NAMES … BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT!

REST ASSURED!

This is a campaign to applaud MOTHERHOOD and is done thankfully and respectfully to our Mothers who gave us life, ourselves as Mothers, our children as Mothers and all those who dream of someday being a Mother!

Will you help?

Martha Sue needs OUR help please! Will you sponsor her to play 100 holes of golf to raise $$ for Keynote of Campus Crusade for Christ

I'm sponsoring Martha Sue ... will you join me?

I wanted to take this opportunity to share something that Martha Sue Yeary has brought to my attention. You have been hearing about Martha Sue because she has become the Conference Call Coordinator for Home Business Tax Savings. She is the lady that speaks very slowly while ending the calls on which I have spoken with rapid fire!

Most of you do not know that Martha Sue is also a golf professional and has her own golf company. However, she is from Texas and has a heart for helping people as big as the State from where she started!

I have already registered to sponsor Martha Sue to play in this golf tournament to raise money for Keynote, an organization as part of Campus Crusade for Christ. She is going to try and play 100 holes (from daylight to dusk) ... along with 40 other crazy people and I am sponsoring her at $2.00 for each hole she plays (kind of like running a race and betting on the number of miles that someone completes).

She has given to all of us ... and I thought it would be a great gesture if we help her give to others!

So, I am asking that you read the following email Martha Sue sent to me. I have asked her to go ahead and share it with all of you (with my endorsement) ... because I have been reading all the emails in appreciation of her willingness to assist all of you.

Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions about this sponsorship! Martha Sue has committed to raise $2,500 and I believe (since we all can write this off as a contribution at 100%) that we can help her make this in no time at all ... WHICH IS WHAT SHE HAS ... BECAUSE THE EVENT IS MONDAY, APRIL 28TH.

Blessings to all of you!

Keynote 100 Dawn to Dusk Golf Challenge

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Hi Everyone,

You folks have been receiving emails from me regarding your current tax situation and how you can save more money on your taxes through Dr. Mueller’s wonderful Tax Program.

You may or may not know that in addition to being Dr. Mueller’s Conference Call Coordinator, I am also an LPGA Golf Professional and B.I.O.N.I.C. (Believe It Or Not I Can) Golf Pro is my golf program. I just found out about something that I wanted to share with you and ask if you might help me make a difference in the lives of young people. I don’t have much time to pull this off … so time is of the essence!

I really need your help! I have agreed to do one of the craziest things in my life by risking dehydration and complete exhaustion as I attempt to play 100 or more holes of golf in one day to help make a difference in the lives of people around the world. You can be a part of this effort by sponsoring me in the 12th annual Keynote 100 Dawn to Dusk Golf Challenge on April 28th, as I hit a little white ball hundreds of times from dawn until dusk at Dove Canyon Country Club in Dove Canyon, California.

I am playing in this golf challenge because, with every hole I play, I will be helping Keynote bring hope, encouragement, and the love of Christ to people around the world. As a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, Keynote uses music and the performing arts to bring God’s message of hope, encouragement, love and new life to people here in the United States and around the world. For more than 40 years, Keynote artists have taken the gospel to millions of people in Asia, Australia, Latin America, North America , Europe, and Africa.

Music linked with the message of Christ is an extremely powerful communication tool. That's why Keynote artists place a strong emphasis on clear verbal communication of the gospel in their presentations. As a result, tens of thousands have committed their lives to Christ through Keynote ministries such as these: Giants of Silence (aggressive rock), blue sky nine (acoustic rock), Chasing Elvis (alternative funk), the blackSoil project (organic urban hip-hop), the Boyd Family Band (pop/rock), David Pendleton (comedy ventriloquist) and their unique Music Ministry Training.

That's why I want to "take you with me" as one of my sponsors.

In almost 2 weeks, 40 other golfers and I will attempt to play over 100 holes of golf in one long day. My personal goal is to raise over $25 per hole that I play to help Keynote expand its opportunities to proclaim the gospel around the world. By sponsoring me with a tax- deductible gift for $.50, $1.00, $2.00, or even $5.00 per hole, you will be contributing more than money... you will be helping thousands of people all over the world hear about the love and hope found in Jesus Christ. You can decide what amount you want to contribute per hole or make a set amount for a donation.

You can signup as a sponsor online at http://www.keynote.org/golf/sponsor/sponsor.html and fill in all of your information. Be sure to fill in the place for “GOLFER’S NAME” as Martha Sue Yeary so your donation will be credited toward my $2,500 commitment. While you are there, you can check out the whole site and information on the Challenge by clicking “home” where you need to watch the short Video from past tournaments. IT’S REALLY COOL!

After you submit your sponsorship information you can also fulfill your commitment immediately, if you so desire. If not, Keynote will send you a thank you letter informing you of the # of holes I played and the amount of your sponsorship following the event.

Thank you for helping to change lives!

Remaining in His Grip,

Martha Sue

Good Evening Power Forum,

PLEASE Consider sending an email to FaceBook: privacy@facebook.com

Imagine the nerve of them encouraging the friends feeding frenzy that they do over there by enabling these 'friend' apps with no restrictions put on them as the other apps have and then disabling someone's account for friend invite spamming of all things!

Then imagine your someone like Laura Corby who is sincerely trying to do good for others without self gain being a consideration...

There's a copy of my letter to them; I have included it so that you would not have to take the time to draft one yourself.

Just replace my info with yours.

Thanks in Advance to those who take a few minutes to help!

Laura will be grateful but more importantly, so will Autism sufferers' who need the FREE Info and services that her organization is providing them with.

Lets show them our Linking POWER!
Thanks! :-)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear FB Site Admin,

My name is Marilyn Magallanes, Founding CEO of Teach Them to Care, a Middle TN non-profit.

I am writing you on behalf of Autistic Citizens Worldwide and Mrs. Laura Corby, Founder of the Autism Solutions Center a NOT For Profit Organization.

Recently Mrs. Corby's FaceBook profile was disabled due to her 'Adding Friends too fast' it would so appear.

I am requesting of you to PLEASE reinstate Mrs. Corby's Facebook Profile, but not for the benefit of Mrs. Corby herself.

I am asking of you for the benefit of all Autism sufferers' worldwide...

For those who suffer Autism that need the FREE Service Information Mrs. Corby's Non-profit CHARITABLE organization provides through FaceBook.

She has spent hours upon hours building her friendships and profile at FaceBook in an effort to support those who suffer Autism.

Mrs. Corby is an outstanding citizen in our community of Middle
Tennessee; one who tirelessly and WITHOUT Personal Gain advocates for those among us who cannot advocate (most often) for themselves.

It would be a shame for her to have to begin all over with her profile and friends; taking her away from assisting others... Others who are in need of her time, skills, and knowledge.

If you consider what she was doing with her account (promoting FREE SERVICES) and that it is Without self gain; that the people she was Reaching Out to connect with were accepting her offers of FB Friendship...

Then it really cannot be considered spamming...

Please try to understand that there is an incredible need in the world for the FREE information that Mrs. Corby is disseminating through the use of FaceBook.

PLEASE RECONSIDER and allow Mrs. Corby to obtain her previous profile back, again Not for her benefit but for the benefit of those worldwide who suffer Autism and need the Free Services and Information Mrs. Corby's organization disseminates through FaceBook.

Sincerely and Respectfully,
Marilyn A. Magallanes
