Lee I am familiar with your discount plan. It can certainly benefit someone who has no coverage but it has been my experience that someone with health insurance gets similar benefits from thier current health plan. Given the large number of uninsured today this certainly has a place in the market.

If they need real insurance to pay for a surgery or an accident while the disounts are nice, it can still leave a big expense to the person with the medical needs.

Let me illustrate: Recent figures indicate that a simple appendectomy in the Bay Area of CA runs a bit over $30,000 if you have no network discounts applied. The average negotiated discount price is about $18,000. No one is going to complain about saving $12,000 but that still leaves an $18,000 expense.

There are plans, albeit more expensive than $20/month, that almost anyone can get that provide a decent level of protection at an affordable price. So for those looking for some real insurance i have provided a link as you have for your product. NOTE that this is NOT major medical coverage but is a decent Defined Benefit options. Like ALL plans, please read the materials carefully and understand what it does and does not cover.

Finally let me apologize for the full address block here but Dept of Insurance regulations require that I include it in this type of message.
