To My Beautiful Christian Friends: If You Think He's The Anti-Christ Why Don't You Pray FOR Him?

I recently had a conversation with one of my favorite friends about one of my favorite politicians. During the course of that conversation my friend shared that he thought my favorite politician somewhat resembles the long-feared Anti-Christ. I asked my friend, "If you believe he's the Anti-Christ and if we're convinced that prayer has power to affect everything in the world - including the Anti-Christ, why not pray FOR him?"

This does not means praying to strengthen the Anti-Christ but, rather, praying that the Anti-Christ causes little to no damage to this world - including praying that the Anti-Christ doesn't cause us to go into and STAY in fear. ("For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." < 2 Timothy 1:7 >)

This also goes for the opposing political party as well. If you fear them and their behavior - AND - IF YOU BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER, why not USE PRAYER to pray FOR the other side to be better than they are? (1 Sam. 12:23 "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:")

And doesn't this automatically extends to terrorists, as well? (I'll repeat 1 Sam. 12:23 "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:")

Wouldn't this approach be better than trying to pray your opponent into hell?

Wouldn't it be better to pray FOR someone than against them? (I'll repeat 1 Sam. 12:23, yet again: "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:")

I don't know about you but, I'd rather pray than fear...
