Sam Bateman Comment by Sam Bateman on March 28, 2009 at 5:27pm
Well let’s just say that I am truly Blessed first off. My name is Sam Bateman, I am 55 yrs old. I was born in Honeygrove, TX, but I now live in Muskegon, MI about 20min. from Lake Michigan. I have been married for 14 years to my beautiful wife Pam and we have an 11yr old daughter together Samantha. I love to fish, take long drives, watch a good movie, and listen to some very good jazz I am a disable Vietnam Veteran(MARINE)

I love to be on my computer all the time, I'm a Quadriplegia for those of you that do know what that Mean,It is caused by damage to the spinal cord at a high level I'm a C-5 The injury causes victims to lose partial or total mobility of all four limbs, meaning the arms and the legs. Severity depends on which cervical vertebra is injured and the extent of the injury. An individual with an injury to C1 (the highest cervical vertebra) will likely be paralyzed and lose function from the neck down and be ventilator dependent. An individual with a C7 injury will likely be paralyzed and lose function from the chest down but still retain use of the arms and much of their hands. The extent of the injury is also important. A complete severing of the spine will result in complete loss of function from that vertebra down. A partial severing of the spinal cord results in varying degrees of mixed function and paralysis. For example, there are quadriplegics who have impairment in all four limbs but can still walk and use their hands due to the relatively minor extent of their injury.

That's why I say I am truly blessed 25yrs and still going!!! 25yrs ago when I found out that I wouldn't walk again I thought that my life was over, I didn't think that I would live for 5yrs less long 25yrs it was very hard for me to accept what had happen to me I was only 32yrs old when it happen ,

So I turn to drugs and drinking so I could deal with my new life, it made it easy to deal with for a while but deep down inside of me i was really hurting I didn't want to be the way I was and I didn't like what was happen to me because of the drugs and drinking, There was long thoughts of death when I was along just wanting to end everything.

That's until one night death was upon me again because of the drinking and drugging that I was doing , I wasn't taking care of myself, unknown to me, I was sick and didn't know it!!

I was bleeding on the inside from a stomach ulcer, Well one night while I was sleeping, I woke up throwing up blood because of the ulcer, now this was only maybe a year after I was release from the Hospital for my spinal cord injury. Now on my way back to the hospital, with a hole in my gut...

Those thoughts of death are gone, and now after that trip back to the hospital, I knew that I didn't want to die, Did I stop? my drinking and drugging nope I went back to what I thought was the only thing I could do, drugging and drinking I did it for another 9yrs or so, and then I said to myself one day I need to find something to do, to much time of doing nothing on my hands so I called goodwill and told them I needed some help... finally after playing head games with myself I have started to accept that life could still be good even though I was in a wheelchair, I just needed to learn how to do things in a different way..

So now I'm waiting for goodwill to get back with me, But in the mean time I wasn't only looking for work I was looking for a woman to, now you talking about doing things different this was different at lease that's what I thought I started dating a few women and I found that it wasn't as bad as I thought, some good some bad, a lot of the women that I was dating really couldn't deal with my disability..

Then I met the woman that could deal with me and my disability and rest is HISTORY as they say we dating for 3yrs and we got married in 93' things was looking up for me and then goodwill call me and I went to work for them doing little jobs in their factory and I made employee of the month!!! well I worked for goodwill from 93' to 95'

Goodwill realy help me come back to my right mind, I now can face anything that comes my way, life is good thank GOD for goodwill..

I no longer work outside my home, I work from my home computer and I have learned alot in the passed 7yrs on how to do business on the internet,

I am drug free now for about 11yrs now

Like goodwill helped me!!, That is my mission to help as many people as I can by showing people how not to lose their money to the internet crooks,

I now make good money with a company that I've found about 6 months ago its the only business that I work now, Its only a $5 a month business I know a lot of people think that you gotta pay big cash to make money, not so! look with the way things are theses days it hard for people to get into anything when they don't have money, If you know motivated people that want to be in business for themselves by all means pass the info below to them,
